Getting found inside AI answers rather than only blue links.
Assistants answer questions that used to produce a page of links, and a short assembled answer that names two or three businesses is a different competitive surface from ten blue links.
The useful finding so far is how unglamorous it is. The pages that get cited are mostly pages that already rank and already say something specific enough to quote. Most of what is sold as AI optimization is the ordinary work with a new name on the invoice, and the handful of things that are genuinely new are written about here when they turn out to matter.
