What this site collects
Two things. Anything you type into the contact form, and anonymous usage statistics through Google Analytics 4. There is no account system, no newsletter signup, no advertising pixel and no third party tracker beyond Analytics.
The contact form
When you submit the form, the information you entered is emailed to info@palmprojects.com and stored in the website database so the submission is not lost if the email fails. It is used to reply to you and to keep a record of the enquiry. It is never sold, rented or shared with anyone, and it is not added to any mailing list.
Analytics
Google Analytics 4 records pages viewed, roughly where in the world the visitor is, what kind of device they used and how they arrived. It sets cookies in your browser to do this. IP addresses are anonymised by Google before they reach the reports, and nothing collected identifies you personally. Analytics is not loaded for logged in administrators.
Cookies
The only cookies this site sets on a normal visit are the Google Analytics ones described above. WordPress sets additional cookies if you log in to the administration area, which applies to nobody but the site owner. There is no cookie consent banner because there is nothing here that requires one under current United States rules. Visitors in the EU or UK should be aware that Analytics is active, and can block it with any standard browser setting or extension.
How long anything is kept
Contact form submissions are kept for as long as they are useful for the enquiry and any resulting work, and are deleted on request. Analytics data is retained on Google servers under their standard retention period.
Your choices
You can ask what has been stored about you, ask for it to be deleted, or ask that it not be used further. Email info@palmprojects.com and it will be handled. There is no process to go through and no form to fill in.
Other sites
This site links out to other websites. Once you follow a link, that site sets its own rules and this policy no longer applies.
Children
This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the bottom of this page changes with it.
